Wilted

February 11th, 2025

Following their performance at Froth & Fury 2024, Left On Seen released their much-anticipated debut EP, Wilted, on February 11th. This EP reflects their distinctive "Queer Pop Punk" style, pushing the boundaries of what is “Pop Punk” with tracks that showcase their creativity and diverse identities. The EP includes previously released singles 'Goosebumps' and 'Burned Out' (ft. Rhys of SoSo), as well as the playful focus track 'Pop Punk Cliche', which pokes fun at pop punk and emo tropes. The band launched their debut EP Wilted at a sold-out Crown & Anchor on February 14th, alongside Sydney-siders Sienna Skies, and locals Down & Out, and Connections.

Pop Punk Cliche

February 11th, 2025

This single pays homage to those that have come before, whilst displaying the cheekiness of Ashlea and Will and poking fun at all of the tropes prevalent within the pop punk and emo genres. Pop Punk Cliche certainly gives you the sense that the two take what they do seriously, but DO NOT take themselves overly seriously. Ashlea says of the track: “We had A LOT of fun putting this song together and have actually lost count of the amount of quotes and references we have managed to squeeze into Pop Punk Cliche. We’re thinking of running a competition to see who can name the most references and tropes we’ve put into the song just so we can figure out for ourselves how many there are.” Ashlea has also grown accustomed to calling people out with the song when it is played live.
“This song is for all of you Pop Punk Cliches out there… and more importantly, for all of you stuck dating the Pop Punk Cliches.”
